Wonderful, Mrs. T.  Fabulous.

Bioremediation of symptoms is full blown in our western society.  Docs put people on psychiatric drugs claiming a chemical imbalance without any proof that such imbalance even exists.  Indeed, NO ONE has ever demonstrated proof of a chemical imbalance, until AFTER drugs have been administered.  Now I'm not saying there isn't one, but let's not experiment without documentation.  Dr. Peter Breggin claims that all psychiatric drugs have one thing in common: they disable the brain in some way.  All of us who have taken benzos understand that.

Keep on teaching, Mrs. T.

Off klonopin for 5 years. I had a reaction (moving floors, dizziness tilting visual distortions, and other symptoms too) with an increase in my seizure medication -tegretol. Hell 9 months. Ended up back in hospital where I was given 5 days of benzos for emergency medical reasons in February. Have been benzo free since then-start of  4th month same awful symptoms. HAS GONE AWAY BEFORE. ( I also had a problem on a short 6 weeks of ativan in 1997. Had 9 months of withdrawals but because of all the other meds I didn't make the connection.)

Wow, fantastic healing over two years. it sounds that despite your C/T 's you healed quick which is great.

C/T off baclofen-a muscle relaxant from a child's dosage in may 2007 after 2 weeks use.began violently retching. baclofen was reintroduced two weeks later and then fast tapered again four days later (doctors orders) over two months which made things horrifically worse.Off since 1st august 2007 and symptomatic.

Thanks for posting your story.  I was a teacher too, and was cold-turkeyed and put back onto valium, but now it is causing the same sort of pain razor sharp in my back as you describe.  Did you have this on your valium taper as well?  It's very hard to live like this.

Reinstated Aug '07 after cold-turkeyed by doctor from 2 mgs Klonopin.  Prior to that  other doctors really made a meal of me with benzos.  Began tapering from 41 mgs valium Sept '07.

Benzo free 9 April '09.   Tramadol free 20 Sept '09 and drug free.   Still struggling, strong withdrawal symptoms.
