Wow, good to hear from you Kim, and glad you found a doctor to help. Glad things aren't feeling to bad with your crossover.
Very sorry to hear about you insurance situation. Again, somebody's elses negligence. Goodness. I hope you can get what you need to take off the financial stress. Keeping my fingers crossed for you so it works itself out and things are very smooth for your taper. Lot's of support here on the site for you, sincerely, Tracy xo

3.5 yrs. on klonopin(from.5-2.5 mg at the end)the last 13 mos., 60 mg of cymbalta together with klonopin.(cymbalta to address increasing panic attacks,now I know those were from the klonopin.)C/T klonopin Oct. 17/09.-Nov.10/09 quick taper off cymbalta using 10mg prozac to stop cymbalta withdrawals for last 10 days,then stopped.(not to use prozac as an anti-deppressant) Unreal. Feeling like a chemist.Good grief.Med free as of Dec.9/09-Still kinda tough but getting better. Sore muscles and insomnia. Glad to hear from you . I hope the Valium treats you better than the Xanax
I'm sure it will. Please make sure you hold for a while before you start to taper.I am doing okay with my taper but have so many other things on my plate right now. My partner is battling third stage cancer and we are going through some rough times. I am actually flying back to Tampa to help one of my friends out who is putting on a fundraiser for John. We just moved here last fall and hell broke loose. I am in the same boat as you with the FMLA . I am suppose to return to work the 14th of June . There is no way in hell I can. I am just not ready. I am sending my HR dept a letter priority
mail to see if I can qualify for long term if not I will have to figure something else out. Right now John's and my health are number one.
Anyway I hope all works out with you and please feel free to post anytime for support. Good luck with your taper.

Tracy - thanks for the kind words and support - Congratulations on being med free! I hope you are symptom free real soon.

Johan - I am so sorry to hear of John's battle, I pray for you both. You are lucky to have such good friends to hold a fundraiser. I hope everything works out for the best. You are right, health always comes first. Please don't forget to take care of yourself during all this turmoil. You are a strong person, to continue your taper while all this is going on. WOW!
Good luck on getting your FMLA extended.

On xanax for over 20 years. last prescribed dosage 5mg/day. Was in a 5 day detox march 2010.(don't do this) Withdrawal really bad, went back on xanax at 3mg./day. Looking for help and support.
4/12/10-started crossover to valium
4/12 - 2.5mg X & 10mg V
4/20 - .75mg X & 50mg V - alittle scared...
4/26 - .50mg X & 50mg V
4/28 - .50mg X & 45 mg V (too tired, adjusted valium)
5/4 - .25mg X & 40mg V
5/11 - 40 mg V (no xanax)
5/17 - 35 mg V
5/25 - 30 mg V
7/30 - 15 mg V yeah!
8/11 - 14 mg V
Also on Prozac 20mg/day, and
trazodone-50mg/night (4/26-cut back traz to 25mg).

Hang Tuff!!

Was originally prescribed Valium 3 x 5mg per day in 1976 and my Dr kept me like that till 5 yrs ago. By then I was Doctor shopping and taking up to 50 x 5mg daily. Finally stabilised on 25 x 5mg about 3 yrs ago and made 5mg per week until about a year ago when the reduction was slowed to 2mg every month. Am current taking 12.5mg per day with another 2 mg drop due soon

xanax use 8 months ago 2mg a day. 6/10 .50 mg a day tapering .12 am .12 pm .25 before sleep - addition: xanax habit formed during 2 years of 10-15 750mg vicodin/ct'd and vicodin free since 3/14/10..finding that depression before and after is being affected by xanax..doing a cut today 7/17/10..8/23/10 .25 and counting..9/1/10 .10 and counting almost there
